You may have subjective observations not based on technical capability.  You feel intense activity deep in the cave you attribute to directed energy, I assume because of the intensity being so high no other explanation seems viable.  First the method is to cause sensitivity if the nervous system, which means that the nervous system is caused to become highly inflamed and sensitive; this means that when fully sensitized small amounts of energy cause dramatic reactions as the signal/energy course across much more of the body because the nervous system carries such signal/energy farther and feels the small pulse not as an isolated output around only the area of the implant but across large parts of the body where it can feel like a cinder block hitting the person.
